Fuhrman Landscaping, Inc. is committed to a sustainable environment. We provide our clients with products and services to both enhance their landscapes and promote a healthy, sustainable environment for the present and future.
Urban landscapes, both residential and commercial are often designed, installed and maintained in a manner not healthy to the environment. We work with professional landscape designers, who are committed to creating sustainable, green landscapes.
We install our landscapes based on industry-recognized practices to conserve water, reduce maintenance and lessen the impact on the environment. Through training and experience, we have developed an efficient, water-conserving irrigation system to provide our clients with both a thriving landscape, and yet reduced water consumption. As a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, we take a hollistic approach to landscaping to incorporate the plants in reducing energy costs of your house.
We also provide maintenance services based on best management practices developed to promote a thriving landscape and reduce the use of pesticides, fertilizer and water. To achieve this, Fuhrman Landscaping uses an integrated pest management approach. Through this approach, we encourage your turf and plants to grow strong so that they will be less susceptible to disease, weed or insect infestation.
In addition to providing our clients with environmentally sound landscapes, Fuhrman Landscaping has company policies and training to reduce our impact on the environment. Fuhrman Landscaping is a member of the Fort Collins Climate Wise Program and subscribes to the Fort Collins Wind Energy Program. We use recycled paper, create electronic documents to reduce paper use, and recycle our office waste. In the field, we recycle brass, copper, steel and iron products which we remove from our projects. We compost the wood, mulch, leaves, grass and soil instead of taking it to the landfill. We also train and inform our team members on sound environmental practices and how they can make green choices at home.
